Our AMURT team prepares and distributes food for the homeless, those in insecure
accommodation or those who are vulnerable one Saturday a month in Birmingham
city centre. We started in March 2022 and fed about 50 people. The number of
beneficiaries has been rising each month to the point where we were feeding up to
150 in August 2022.
We rely entirely on volunteers who are dedicated to serving those in need. We
collect the food that we prepare from 2 food banks who receive it from supermarkets.
Our intention is to expand the programme and make it more regular over the next
year.
