Donate to AMURT UK to make a difference
AMURT UK is a grassroots disaster relief and community development organisation. We work with local communities to relieve the immediate suffering of those affected by disaster and crises and empower people to lead healthy, happy, environmentally sustainable lives.
We believe every individual has the right to have their basic needs fulfilled such as nourishment and being treated with respect regardless of race, gender or social status.
In the UK we currently work with local volunteers in London and Birmingham to relieve immediate suffering by delivering projects focused on food and feeding the homeless and food poverty affected beneficiaries including vulnerable children, families and households.
Internationally we partner with other AMURT chapters, to respond to the specific needs and challenges of their local areas. We work closely with AMURT Global and with AMURTEL, a separate sister organisation managed by women for women, to do this.

London Feeding Programme
AMURT UK helps to reduce food poverty amongst the homeless and other vulnerable individuals, families and households.
The cost-of-living crisis in the UK is leaving its mark on those already at the margins of society and there appears to be no clear end in sight. According to Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) research, 3.8 million people experienced destitution, the most extreme form of poverty, in the UK in 2022, which included 1 million children. That’s the equivalent of almost half the population of London being unable to meet their most basic needs to stay warm, dry, clean and fed.
Your contribution would ensure that these vulnerable individuals receive a hot nutritious meal, snacks and warm drinks served by a smiling AMURT volunteer. This not only feeds their stomach but also their soul and gives them back some dignity.
Birmingham Feeding Programme
Our AMURT team prepares and distributes food for the homeless, those in insecure accommodation or those who are vulnerable one Saturday a month in Birmingham city centre.
