Zoe began as a volunteer at the London Feeding Programme 4 years ago, and is now the volunteer manager.
In April 2026 Zoe is taking part in the London Marathon and is fundraising for the London Feeding Programme.
Zoe's goal is to raise Β£15,000. Every penny of your contribution will help the London Feeding Programme expand our reach and impact more Londoners' lives than ever before.
Thank you so much for your support!
Dada is one of the chefs for the London Feeding Programme. This April, Dada is running the London Marathon completely barefoot for the second time. Yes, you read that rightβno shoes, just his bare feet against the pavement for 26.2 miles.
Why? Because he wants to go the extra mile (literally and metaphorically) to shine a spotlight on a cause thatβs deeply important to Dada: AMURT UK's London Feeding Programme.
Dada's goal is to raise Β£10,000. Every penny of your contribution will help the London Feeding Programme expand our reach and impact more Londoners' lives than ever before.
Thank you so much for your support!

Overview
AMURT UK helps to reduce food poverty amongst the homeless and vulnerable children, families and households in Camden, Hackney and Islington.
Since 2011, the AMURT UK Feeding Programme in London has collected perfectly good food that might otherwise go to waste and transformed it into highly nutritious, plant-based hot meals, which are served and distributed to Londoners. Every Thursday, AMURT UK provides hundreds of hot sentient meals as well as hot and cold drinks, long lasting snacks to people in central London facing food insecurity.
In 2023 saw a big upgrade of our kitchen facilities and distribution points. In October 2023 we secured a partnership with The Salvation Army and our food production moved to our current location at their kitchen in Lower Clapton which has a big open dining room space to distribute food and an opportunity to socialise.
In 2024 AMURT UK prepared and distributed 26,694 warm nutritious plant-based meals reaching over 13,000 peopleβa 44% increase from the previous year.

London Feeding Programme Timeline
1979
- A Soup Run was started in 1979 to distribute food at Temple tube station.
2011
From November 23rd Once a week AMURT delivered food to the Occupy London protest Courtyard outside St Paul’s Cathedral.
2012
Served food weekly to the Occupy London protest at Finsbury Square.
From July food was distributed weekly at Lincoln Inn Fields, Holborn.
2019
Food preparation started at Mildmay Community Centre
2020
- AMURT UK tripled the number of volunteers we worked with. This allowed us to quadruple the number of vulnerable people we could reach on a weekly basis.
- We expanded our hot nutritious meal production and began working with new partners to help reach as many homeless and vulnerable beneficiaries in Camden, Hackney and Islington that needed our support.
- Introduced a volunteer coordinator role to help with the increased number of volunteers.
- Introduced a manager role for the projects in London.
- VitaBites were formulated as high nutrient and protein dense snacks. VitaBites were designed to be eaten when our beneficiaries couldnβt find a hot meal as many hot food services had shut down.
2023
Big upgrade of our kitchen facilities and distribution points. It became clear from speaking to service users there was a need for a warm place to be able to sit, eat and socialise when receiving our warm meals. In response, by October 2023 we had secured a reciprocal partnership with The Salvation Army and moved our production to their kitchen in Lower Clapton which has a big open dining room space to distribute food from.
2024
Distributed 26,500 warm meals, 1,050 VitaBites nutrition bars, and hundreds of tonnes of fresh food, reaching over 13,000 people
